Musing -18

The cool air from the air conditioner hurts my sinuses. I was out in the scorching heat just 5 minutes ago. My throat is not getting better anytime soon, it seems. I cover my nose and mouth with a handkerchief, a failed attempt to save my sinuses, atleast I'm trying. Is there another word for handkerchief ? There should be one.
The trials and tribulations of the modern world have made humans so accustomed to its luxuries that one simply can term our actions involuntary. My fingers hover over the Instagram app and within no time I'm scrolling through my feed. I search for one of my favourite aesthetic poetry pages to read some good work. One of its post says ' Last 10 days of #NaPoWriMo'.
For those who don't know, April is celebrated as National poetry writing month. People aim to write poems consistently during this time and post it on social media, because what else we seek if not validation.
I remember checking out some of the poetic themes on 31st March. Not even a single verse has been written till date. Life!
I was travelling the other day and was stuck in a jam for about an hour. I was on a call with a friend who suggested to write a poem on a traffic jam, as a joke. I could not.
Internet sometimes is like a double edged sword to me, inspires and discourages simultaneously. Right now I'm a little discouraged, not by the internet alone, just life in general.
So, is it normal for people to carry handkerchief all the time? Well I think it's a gift to remember to have one always, or perhaps years of routine. Are tissue boxes better than handkerchieves? Oh! but then one has to be sustainable too. I think there should be some setting in the cooling systems so as not to hurt the people with a sinus problem.
I see the swaying branches of trees in the field outside. Loo it is! It reminds me of this Sunday, when I left the air conditioned building of the airport and a strong gust of dusty loo welcomed me. Isn't life a bunch of similar patterned experiences? Or am I being too philosophical?

I've to step outside now. I clear my throat before leaving my chair. It's not getting better anytime soon. As I leave the AC room a strong gust of dusty wind welcomes me. I cover my face with my handkerchief as I wonder, is there another word for handkerchief? Well there should be one.
